Business Operations in 2023: Reacting to the Current Social and Economic Climate
Presenters: Jeff Harbaugh, Moderator
Matt Gold, Christy Sports LLC
Hans Smith, Armada Skis
The industry, and the world for that matter, is living through a confluence of events that nobody has seen for 100 years. Nobody has ever managed through anything like it. We’ve got unsustainable debt levels and the end of a long term debt cycle, the first negative interest rates in 5,000 years, climate change, an ongoing pandemic, social/political polarization, mistrust of institutions, deglobalization and wealth inequality not seen since the so called “golden age.” It seems unlikely the winter sports industry can fix any of those problems, but we do have to deal with them. Join us for a conversation how the current realities are affecting our businesses and the changes we have been forced to make in both the short and long term.
Driving Positive Change & Climate Action
Taking action on climate is not a one size fits all approach – instead, every business has a unique approach, and can use the unique levers, assets and expertise that probably already exist within every company, large and small. Here is a conversation with Jason Parkin, the Founder of Composed Creative about how they’re using their existing resources and specific expertise to make an impact.
